'Salah should top De Bruyne for PFA player of the year' - Hamann

We're just minutes from kickoff of Manchester City at Liverpool, a Champions League quarterfinal clash that features the top two candidates for PFA Player of the Year in City's Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.

De Bruyne doesn't have to say too much more.

City and De Bruyne can wrap up the Premier League title this weekend with a derby victory over arch-rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

Do you think Mourinho regrets selling De Bruyne at Chelsea?

De Bruyne is casting his vote for Liverpool's Mohammed Salah for Player of the Year, and Spurs' Davinson Sanchez for Young Player of the Year.

"If I see the amount of games I've played in my career it's a lot so I'm happy".

"It's our thing to relax and have fun, and if people take it that it's bad for [towards] them, them I'm sorry, but it's just for us".

"And then at the second meeting I just said: 'for me it's better to go".

Impressively selfless when he could easily have cast a tactical vote for Harry Kane - but probably what you'd expect from the leading assister in the Premier League.

"I know the way we play is ideal for Liverpool", Guardiola said of his team's expansive style, "because they're a team that attack that space unlike any other team in the world, especially with Mo Salah, Firmino". "I want to play football".

"I'm not really somebody who speaks a lot with coaches if a coach wants to speak with you, you do it". He will be there on Wednesday, although Guardiola said City will be without Sergio Aguero because the striker hasn't recovered from a thigh injury in time. I don't mind supporters doing that - I've had it a couple of times for my team and it's a nice feeling. We need to focus on Saturday [against Manchester United] and then we will try everything in our power to get a result against Liverpool.

'I think in both our cases that's true.

The Portuguese manager has been attacked countlessly for letting go the Belgian as well as Liverpool's Mohamed Salah since the pair are considered to be the best in the league.
