US court hears Cosby accuser 'too scared to tell anyone'

Former Cosby Show actress Nicolle Rochelle was recently arrested after protesting topless outside of the courthouse where Bill Cosby is now being re-tried for sexual assault.

The 80-year-old entertainer has denied the charge, saying any sexual contact was consensual.

Cosby's defense team, newly assembled since the first trial, has sought to discredit Constand in the eyes of the jury by portraying her as a con artist whose only motive in accusing the celebrity of sexual crimes was to get money off him.

By obtaining testimony from five other women accusers, the prosecution wishes to establish a pattern, but how can it be proved what Cosby gave them and why?

Attorney Gloria Allred arrives for actor and comedian Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Cosby say she consented to a sexual encounter. "I was really humiliated".

She was stressed about telling her coach, and Cosby invited her to his home, she testified on the stand today, the fifth day of the comedian's retrial on three counts of aggravated indecent assault. She said she wanted to recount the trip for her mother and agent but destroyed it years later after seeing a psychiatrist. "Get dressed, I have to go". She saw two of Cosby.

Now well into middle age, the accusers spoke of entering Cosby's orbit as starstruck young women seeking career help or, in Baker-Kinney's case, simply looking for a fun time.

Asked how Cosby was holding up, Wyatt said, "Mr. Cosby's great". "I don't know what it was, but I believe I know what it was".

Andrea Constand's appearance is the Canadian's second chance to confront Cosby in court, since his first trial ended without a verdict. She is a member of the European feminist group Femen, which is known for staging topless protests around the world.

"He called me and said people who talk too much can be quietened", she said, but she said she never heard from Mr. Cosby again.

The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done.

Another accuser, sobbing uncontrollably as she testified, told jurors she got to know Cosby through a family connection as a 17-year-old aspiring model and actress.

Defense lawyers are cross-examining her.

Jurors in the TV pioneer's previous trial were unaware that Cosby paid Constand a $3.4 million settlement, after she filed a civil lawsuit against him in 2005.

"I trusted him. So I took them."

Cosby's legal team at his first trial wasn't almost as aggressive in attacking Constand, focusing instead on inconsistencies in her statements to police and arguing the pair had a romantic relationship.

In one of those images seared into her brain she can remember awakening on a bed while Cosby is forcing himself into her mouth.

Lise-Lotte Lublin, another accuser who testified Thursday, told jurors she lost consciousness and doesn't remember anything else about her alleged encounter with Cosby in 1989. "He was a married man".

They're expected to call Jackson as a witness, though O'Neill has reserved a decision on whether he'll allow her to testify until after Constand steps down from the stand. She has said Constand once commented to her about setting up a "high-profile person" and filing suit.

Constand's coming testimony and cross-examination are central to the case and will be the main focus of the trial. And they all told the jury that Cosby gave them some sort of intoxicant that incapacitated them.

In addition to chief complainant Constand, former model Janice Dickinson is one of five additional accusers testifying during the retrial.

Baker-Kinney was unflappable under cross examination, calling out Cosby lawyer Tom Mesereau for rolling his eyes at her and chiding the veteran defense attorney for what she said was a bald attempt to twist what she told police about being assaulted. Several other women have also testified that they were drugged and sexually assaulted by Cosby in the 1980s, when Cosby was at the height of his popularity.

As she was heading out the door, she said Cosby appeared in a doorway in slippers and a robe.
