Apple claims that they have raised over $160 million with the sales of it (RED) products. Purchasing one of these devices will help Apple contribute to Global Fund which uses the contribution to help those affected by HIV/AIDS across various countries.

According to recent reports from the U.S., iPhone 8 and 8 Plus sales have risen up due to the high cost of iPhone X model and people purchasing the red edition would indirectly support for African countries to eliminate HIV/AIDS.

Fast company reports that the company ordered 8 million iPhone X handsets for the current quarter.

The iPhone 8 (PRODUCT) RED costs the same as its siblings and there's even some pretty decent deals available on contract. Launched in March 2016, iPhone SE was not only small in size like the phone's previous models but it was also affordable, unlike most of Apple devices which come with a hefty price tag.

Red sports back, different from I Pone 7 due to the support of wireless charging. Not forgetting that Apple got rid of the jack back from the launch of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, so this 3.5mm headphone port would be surprising but very welcoming, as well.

"This special edition (PRODUCT) RED iPhone features a stunning red and black color combination and also offers customers the opportunity to make an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS, " said Greg Joswiak, Vice President of Product Marketing, Apple. This may mean the device could be made out of glass and metal, something that in turn indicates the arrival of wireless charging. While the trend of large-screen displays was started by Android, Apple too slowly caught on, first with the iPhone 6 and later the "Plus" models. And obviously, the headphone jack is still missing.

Recollecting some key specs, both the iPhones sports Retina HD displays with True Tone feature that adjust the white balance of the display to match the surrounding light for a more natural, paper-like viewing experience. However, Apple enthusiasts can hope for a better camera, up from its 12MP rear camera.

Though, this is not sure if the smartphone will support FaceID or not?
