New 'Red Dead Redemption 2' Trailer Reveals Dark Tone And John Marston

The game is looking incredible and I am hoping that we get to see the game in action this year at E3 in June.

From the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption comes Red Dead Redemption 2, an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age. This is likely to be followed by multiplayer footage from Red Dead Redemption 2 Online at a later date. You can view the boxart for Red Dead Redemption 2 in the image below.

Arthur Morgan will also live alongside the Van der Linde gang amid a working community camp, where wood needs to be chopped for the fire, drinking water has to be scooped from the river and clothes can be cleaned. Some gameplay highlights include a much more involved hunting system (which now requires you to get clean kills for maximum value), a greater emphasis on your horse as a character (he can even carry more equipment for you), advanced animal AI, the return of gambling, a much-improved honor system that features moral complexities, the ability to perform more robberies (and be pursued for being too notorious), and so much more.

Unfortunately, the trailer was purely cinematic and did not show any glimpses of gameplay.

The overarching theme of the trailer, and presumably the game itself, is that the era of the Wild West is slowly coming to an end.

"We want to go deeper into the whole experience - as wide as we can go - the things you can do with the character, the directions you can take [the protagonist], the choices you can make and how they affect his reaction to the things that are happening to him and his family and his gang; to see how much you can interact with that and what is his capacity for change".

It takes place in the fictional town of Blackwater, which also featured in the first game. Needless to say, internal conflicts start to flare up, so Morgan will have to decide between his morals and his loyalty to the gang that he grew up in.

Rockstar Games has released its third official trailer for its upcoming romp back to the Wild West in Red Dead Redemption 2. Yes, it seems that PC gamers will have to sit this one out, as well.
