Police recovered most of the items stolen from Roquan Smith

Several days after the newest Bears linebacker Roquan Smith had several items - including an iPad with the Bears' playbook - stolen out of his vehicle in Athens, Georgia, the situation has apparently been resolved.

Police said there was no sign of forced entry into the auto, parked at an apartment complex.

Police are obtaining a warrant for the suspect they believe robbed several items belonging to former UGA and current National Football League star Roquan Smith.

According to the report, Athens police traced a fingerprint found on Smith's vehicle back to a Summerville teenager who attends UGA.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department in Georgia wasted no time in helping Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith. "It was definitely huge", Smith said in a video posted on Twitter.

The perpetrator is allegedly a teenager and student at the University of Georgia, whose name hasn't been released, and the items were recovered in Chattooga County, which is about a three-hour drive from Athens. I would also like to thank many of you that spread the information on various social-media platforms.

Smith reported to the Athens-Clarke Police Department that some items were taken from his vehicle.

The Bears were able to remotely wipe the iPad, so no team-sensitive information was leaked. "I would just like to thank you guys so much".

According to published reports, police expected to obtain an arrest warrant for the teenage suspect soon, and planned to charge him with a felony in connection with the theft.
