Pep Guardiola's men have won more games, earned more points and scored more goals this season than any team in the Premier League era.

However, the Argentine remained at the club and profited from the mid-season injury of the Brazilian, netting 30 goals in 39 games across all competitions.

Aguero's relationship with Guardiola has been a source of intrigue throughout the Catalan's time in Manchester and City's all-time leading scorer was linked with a return to former club Atletico Madrid by reports in Spain this week. "My desire is it will not happen, but I don't know".

"It's happened many times and I said maybe a thousand times".

The Portuguese midfielder joined the Club last summer after an outstanding season with Monaco, and after a hard first few months he has emerged as one of the stars of our record-breaking year. "I said it many times and i say it again, but in football you never know". "But (this season) we've done better than the others, we can not deny".

Mendy has made three appearances since returning, playing a total of 62 minutes, and will be hoping to add to that on Sunday when the Blues finish their double-winning season against Southampton.

"We did that and now we'll makes some details with Yaya [Toure] leaving".

"As long as I am a coach at Manchester City, he isn't going anywhere".

"I have maybe one or two years more to play".

"The way we play, everyone is important so everyone is involved in scoring goals".

Under Premier League rules, the champions receive 40 medals to hand out to players and staff as they see fit, but those who have played five times or more are guaranteed a medal.

Guardiola seems likely to ensure youngsters Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz are both given medals for their part in City's title success.

Avoiding defeat to the newly-crowned champions on Sunday would guarantee Southampton's Premier League survival, but Silva says they want to be the first top-flight side to bring up a century of points.

Guardiola said: "They are champions".

"They are champions, from the first day in the locker room". We've seen it with other players who have been able to juggle family staying in England while they play in Scotland so there's a precedent there.
