Tigers, Mariners lineups: Nicholas Castellanos, Jeimer Candelario out

Robinson Cano left Sunday's game because of a hand injury. Jose Iglesias hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Detroit Tigers a 5-4 victory over Seattle after the Mariners lost standout second baseman Robinson Cano to a fractured hand.

Mariners: Cano did have a brief DL stint past year because of a quad issue, but he still played 150 games and hit 23 homers. If he's forced to miss significant time, then the Mariners will certainly have a tough time replacing his production. He went 2-for-4 in the Tigers' 4-3 win over the Mariners earlier Saturday.

In the second game, Tigers starter Michael Fulmer struggled, and the Mariners took advantage.

Castellanos was hit by a pitch in the first inning of the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, and he left soon after that.

Rangers manager Jeff Banister said there is no timetable for a layoff as of yet, but said the team will know more when it gets to Seattle for a three-game series starting Tuesday.

The Tigers send Mike Fiers (3-2) to the mound Monday night against Clevelands Carlos Carrasco (5-1) in the opener of a three-game series in Detroit.
