Meghan Markle's Mom Leaves for Royal Wedding with Dress in Hand

This week, reports emerged that Thomas Markle would not be attending the royal wedding after suffering a heart attack. "She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this hard situation". From the guest list to the wedding dress, here's everything you need to know about this year's biggest royal wedding.

Thomas Markle is set to miss the wedding of his daughter Meghan and Prince Harry due to heart surgery, it has been reported.

As Charles' youngest son prepares to marry his U.S. bride, Charles and Camilla were seen flying into the royal residences while royal staff assisted them with suitcases.

Doria Ragland was seen heading to Los Angeles International Airport, where she will catch a plane bound for England.

In the last 24 hours, Ms Ragland was spotted walking her dogs in LA.

By Tuesday, Thomas Markle had changed his tune, telling TMZ that he would be going to the wedding, even though he was reportedly back in the hospital for heart issues again.

But while drama continues to surround the royal wedding, as Meghan's father confirms he will no longer walk his daughter down the aisle, it's the absence of Prince Harry's mother that hangs heavy in the air.

Meghan's dad Thomas was supposed to walk his daughter down the aisle, but this evening news emerged that he has cancelled his plans to attend the wedding altogether.

The ceremony will have a band playing as well as a royal procession with lookalikes playing the royal family, including a Prince Harry and a Meghan Markle.

A likely candidate for the job could come in the form of Markle's future brother-in-law, Prince William.

The announcement was met with an outpouring of support for both Ms Markle and her father on social media.

"We are so privileged to live here in Te Aroha, beneath the mountain of love", she said.
