Google Pixel 3 XLs leaked screen protector reveals key design elements

Google Pixel 3 XLs leaked screen protector reveals key design elements

In the year 2016, both the devices were built by HTC whereas the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL were built by HTC and LG respectively in the year 2017. The screen protectors have been leaked from Google Pixel3 and Pixel 3XL.

The larger Google Pixel 3 XL is the model expected to feature a full edge-to-edge screen and a top notch while the smaller Pixel 3 should come with top and bottom bezels instead. People familiar with the matter said the larger phone has a almost edge-to-edge screen, except for the bottom bezel known as the chin.

In terms of specification, the Pixel Watch will come with a successor to the Wear 2 100 processor, which was first introduced three years ago.

Lately, in Google's Pixel lineup smartphones, LG lost the contract to manufacture the future smartphone. Both phones are expected to feature typical 2018 flagship specs like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and plenty of RAM, and they'll also seemingly have dual front-facing cameras. "The display also will have a notch-or a cutout-at the top".

Bloomberg noted that Google may end up taking another page from Apple and working with known iPhone manufacturer Foxconn, which has assembled the devices in the past. Recently, we have seen the front tempered glass protectors for the new Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL devices leak out and float around on the internet.

Coming back to the latest leak involving the screen protectors, those are rumors at best and is hence just can not be trusted entirely. The Pixel 3 would have a single camera at the front as well. If this turns out to be true, it'll be a significant shift for Google as it suggests the company will finally have complete control over the design of its forthcoming devices. Google and HTC already worked on several Nexus and Pixel devices so we won't be surprised if the tech giant will already settle with HTC producing its phones. Verizon is expected to again be the exclusive mainstream carrier partner in the USA, though Project Fi support is expected too.

The upcoming Android release has baked-in support for notched displays, with the ability to adjust layout automatically according to which sections of the screen are non-functional. They are the direct successors to last year's Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL handsets.

Going by the leaked images at the moment, what is evident right away is a mixed approach from Google in that the bigger Pixel 3 XL will have a notched display while the smaller Pixel handset will have a more conventional layout.
