Liverpool quick to respond to reports of Nabil Fekir medical

And according to French daily Le Progres, the Lyon president has still not lost hope that he will be able to convince Fekir to spend at least one more season with the Ligue 1 giants.

Chelsea are reportedly set to taste defeat in our reported pursuit of Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir, with the Frenchman set to put pen-to-paper on a move to Liverpool.

Bernes has now responded to those reports and although the agent has confirmed Liverpool's interest in signing Fekir, he denied he was in Liverpool this weekend and suggested other clubs are still in the running for his clients signature.

All of last week, it was widely reported in both the English and French press that Fekir wants his move to Liverpool completed before the start of the World Cup on the 14th of June.

France will finalise their preparations for the World Cup when they take on the United States on Saturday in their last pre-tournament friendly.

'Liverpool's interest exists, but for the moment nothing is done and other clubs could come in.

Fabinho and Naby Keita are already Reds players - great additions to the strongest Liverpool side in years.
