LaLiga President: We Would Overcome Cristiano Ronaldo's Exit

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford admits to favouring Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi over Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Argentine considered to be "the greatest ever".

The reports from the front page of Diario Record featured the headline "Ronaldo will leave Real - Irreversible decision", in a story which the publication seems to have taken from comments made by Ronaldo directly after the Champions League final.

The newspaper also reported that Ronaldo would prefer to stay in Europe after leaving the 13-time European champions and Italy, France or England could be his next possible destination.

Reports also indicate that Ronaldo believes Real Madrid have not supported him well enough with regards to a potential court case surrounding image rights.

"Madrid always have to find the best players and I think Neymar will play for Real Madrid one day".

"Cristiano doesn't own Real Madrid so if the president wants to sign somebody he will do it".

TeamTalk are citing a report from AS that claims Ronaldo has chose to leave Madrid after they refused to meet his salary demands following talks over yet another contract extension.

"I've never understood the Ballon d'Or criteria", he said.

Ronaldo is now with the Portugal team ahead of the World Cup. "In the coming days you will have my answer to the fans, the ones who have really been on my side", he said.

Ronaldo has scored an incredible 450 goals in just 438 games for Los Blancos and helped them win a fourth Champions League in the last five years with victory over Liverpool last month.

The 26-year-old is perhaps the only player available to Real Madrid who would be capable of taking the limelight away from the goal machine or potentially commanding a higher salary.

De Gea isn't the best paid played at Manchester United despite being their top performance in recent seasons.

Similar reports of Ronaldo leaving Real had emerged previous year as well after the Spanish club beat Juventus 4-1 in the final.
