OnePlus 6 sells its first million units at its fastest rate ever

OnePlus 6 sells its first million units at its fastest rate ever

It also captures over 50 percent of the Indian market for models priced over US$400.

OnePlus to celebrate this feat has announced 'Community Celebration Season'.

OnePlus is a brand known for its value for money flagship smartphones, and the OnePlus 6 is undoubtedly the best high-end flagship that you can get under $600. During the course of these 12 days, OnePlus will be offering a Rs 2,000 cashback to users who're purchasing the OnePlus 6 through Citibank Debit/Credit cards with no cost EMI for three months.

The OnePlus 6 comes in three designs - two versions in black and the other in white - because research shows "most of the sales are of black and white", Lau said in his May interview with the Post. In addition, OnePlus customers can receive extra Rs 1,500 off on exchange. For 8GB RAM + 128GB variant it is available at Rs 39,999.

The device sports a 6.28-inch FullHD+ display along with the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC. This is contrary to the price of the competing flagships that are available in the price segment of over $700 (approximately Rs. 48,000).

OnePlus also believes that the one flagship a year strategy has also allowed "the company to create superior products with premium user-experience". The other aspect that helped them be successful is the long-term partnership with Qualcomm, Amazon and a few carriers such as O2. Since the majority of Americans buy their phones directly from the network, it severely limits the availability of the OnePlus 6. Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, expressed his gratitude towards the OnePlus community, "we are touched by the trust that one million people have placed in us and are grateful for the loyalty they have displayed". OnePlus 6 is the latest model launched by the company following OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5. Globally, OnePlus has over five million active OnePlus community members, with the OnePlus community forums averaging 10 million views per month, which is one of the largest and most engaged bases in the industry.
