Meghan and Harry attend Royal Ascot with the Queen

She wore a white Givenchy buttoned dress with applique at the waist, discreet three-quarter sleeves and an asymmetrical hemline that hit mid-length.

The Queen wore bright yellow for the first day of Royal Ascot.

All eyes were on Meghan Markle's outfit as she made a bold fashion choice by wearing a a flamboyant black and white Philip Tracey hat and white Givenchy coat.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex cut a stylish figure at the racing event.

Photos show that Markle's name tag read "HRH The Duchess of Sussex", with the royal carrying it along with her black clutch.

Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, was the only member of her family in attendance on the day.

In keeping with the annual event's notoriously strict dress code - which this year approved jumpsuits but banned fascinators, strapless styles, and the off-the-shoulder necklines of which our American duchess is so fond - Meghan wore a tasteful black-and-white look of her own. My daughter is capable of anything and she'll certainly be a complement to the Royal Family.

For her first time at the race course, Meghan presented a trophy alongside her new husband to Frankie Dettori, for his triumph at the St. James's Palace stakes.

Duchess Meghan of Sussex made her debut Tuesday at Royal Ascot, a series of horse races equivalent to the Kentucky Derby, only longer and with even wackier hats. Kensington Palace said that the royal couple will travel to Dublin for two days starting on July 10.

"It's just about accentuating her features in the most natural way", says Riley, who also looks after Princess Beatrice's brows. In fact, Queen Elizabeth had reigned for more than half a century before making her first official visit to the region in 2011.

Today also marks 19 years of marriage for Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, after they tied the knot on 19 June 1999 in Windsor.

Now that the couple have got the title, they have a lot more responsibilities, with the former Suits actress reportedly signed onto six months of 'princess lessons' to flawless her royal etiquette.
