Trump Tweets That Collusion Is Not A Crime. The Internet Disagrees

Legal experts say Giuliani and Trump have a point: there is no federal law or statue making campaign collusion a crime.

"He has the conflict, not the president", Giuliani said.

That wasn't the only wild assertion Giuliani made on his tour of cable news stations Monday morning.

If Trump or his aides knew in advance that Russian Federation had the trove of stolen emails and did nothing to alert federal authorities, they could be accused of covering up the crime of stolen emails or working as foreign agents.

"My client didn't do it, and even if he did it, it's not a crime", Giuliani said. "The president didn't hack", Giuliani said on CNN.

For almost a year now, political pundits, Trump lawyers, and Americans from every walk of life have been trying to pinpoint how much longer Robert Mueller and the Special Counsel's office would take before issuing a final report on possible crimes committed by the Trump campaign.

Trump and key members of his team have been repeatedly rejecting all the accusations concerning collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation. "He didn't pay them for hacking".

U.S. President Donald Trump's attorney said Monday it remains unlikely Trump will agree to answer questions from special counsel Robert Mueller about Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and whether the president obstructed justice by trying to thwart the investigation.

This comes as ABC News has learned that Cohen claims that President Trump knew about the infamous Trump Tower meeting in advance. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) wrote on Twitter on Monday, citing a reference in the federal code.

Trump unleashed a new broadside against Mueller and his investigation late Sunday, accusing the prosecutor of undisclosed "conflicts of interest" involving him, "including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship". "Bombast & bullying won't make it (or him) go away". Mueller is investigating whether Trump campaign officials worked with Moscow to try to sway the 2016 US presidential election. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) expressed exasperation with Giuliani's media interviews.

"I don't know", Giuliani said before pivoting to other subjects. "They change nearly by the hour".
