'Multiple Diablo Projects In the Works,' Confirms Blizzard

At the time, a reimagining of the second game seemed unlikely, as did a full-on Diablo 4.

Interestingly, that was not the end of it as sources close to Eurogamer revealed that Diablo 3 is very much in the works for Nintendo Switch despite Blizzard's claims that it is not.

She further noted that with Season 14 for Diablo 3 introduced something new, which is the Themed season.

Blizzard Entertainment is working on multiple Diablo projects, the developer and publisher revealed on Wednesday.

Given that outside of a small hero addition and some updates Diablo has been mostly dormant since 2014, it was easy to think that it would be a long while until we saw anything substantial again, but this changes that perception.

Although it's not the first time we've heard about them developing a new Diablo, it's certainly the first we've been told about the amount of work being taken on. It's not known if that project is Diablo 4 or something else, however.

We've had an idea that some Diablo-related rumblings were going on as Blizzard has posted multiple job listings over the last few years.
