Body of Shanann Watts was found in shallow grave, court document says

Chris Watts, 33, allegedly admitted Wednesday to killing his wife, Shanann, 34, and daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3.

Authorities are expected to file formal charges Monday against Watts, who authorities said dumped his wife and daughters' bodies on the property located just outside Frederick, a small town on the grassy plains north of Denver where fast-growing subdivisions intermingle with drilling rigs and oil wells. "My precious family my one and only sibling, my sister Shanann, 2 adorable nieces Bella and Celeste and her soon to be found out unborn son Niko".

"In Weld County, the return of filing charges date is an administrative court date that is held at the clerk's office", White said.

Shanann and Chris Watts appeared to be happy during their June vacation.

Watts was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of three counts of murder.

Investigators previously said that the remains of Shanann Watts were found on property in northern Colorado owned by Anadarko Petroleum Corp., her husband's former employer.

Denver7 reported that the bodies of Christopher Watts' daughters were found dead in "mostly full" oil and gas tanks.

Ashley Bell, who owns a tanning salon and was a close friend of Shanann Watts, told KDVR that the "gender reveal" party had been scheduled for August 18.

The daughters stayed home with Watts in Colorado while Shanann was on the trip, she told police.

On Wednesday, police took him into custody.

Attorneys for Chris Watts indicated in a court filing that the bodies of the children were in an "oil well filled with crude oil for several days".

They lived in a big two-story house and Shanann Watts was pregnant with the couple's third child.

He also recommended taking DNA samples from the girls' hands and the hands and nails of their mother. Shanann Watts was working in a call center at a children's hospital at the time, earning about $18 an hour - more for evenings, weekends or extra shifts she sometimes worked.

"This is to celebrate, mourn and get closure for a family that didn't deserve this", Kelley Trippy said.

Christopher Watts's attorneys sought to preserve DNA evidence they said would still be present on the bodies, saying that once autopsies are finished, the evidence will be "lost forever", according to the motion. I just feel so alone in this house right now. "They were always so - I'm completely lost for words", Bell said. "I just want them to come back", he told KMGH.

"I walked in the house and - nothing", he said.

"I don't want the horror to replace how attractive she was", Gentert said.

Watts originally explained that they were just ... gone. The following day, Christopher Watts stood in front of a parade of news cameras and told reporters that his children were his life.

"You don't know what, when, why, where or how everything goes weird", Jeremy says.
