Pogba refuses to commit to Man United future

"There was a lot of talk, but it was just like that, I'm under contract in Manchester", Pogba said.

Sunday was not be the first time United fans have protested against the club, with David Moyes being the subject of a "Wrong One - Moyes Out" message late on in his ill-fated reign. "But I think you've got to have a bit more respect for when they (people like Mourinho) have done the things they have done in the game".

But since Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, United have failed to go close in either the Premier League or Champions League, while Barca have won three La Ligas in that time and the Champions League once.

However, he added: "It's not me who is talking".

The 25-year-old, an £89 million signing from Juventus in the summer of 2016, has been repeatedly linked with a move to Barcelona since returning to Old Trafford. "He knows what it takes to be a Manchester United player".

But despite these concerns, the Spaniard has been vocal about his love for the club and has gone on record to say that he would play in any position under Jose Mourinho. "You try to then get more out of them".

Yet Robson believes the Frenchman has the club's DNA, having joined the academy in 2009 at a time when some of their most successful players were there.

Chris Smalling believes that Manchester United have always been soft targets for critics whenever there are any minor lapses.

"We're in August. There are a lot of points to play for and the real season starts after the worldwide break".

'Coming back with the World Cup medal has given him a false sense of security and made him think he is bigger than this.

"You always hear it on an worldwide break, and then you will always hear they've been misinterpreted when they get back".

"And normally, even (by) the players, we are judged - if they play, the manager is good, if they don't play, the manager is not good".
