Emery On Ozil: "He Can Improve. He Can Do More"

Emery On Ozil:

He said: "First the players have the habits to play in the global break, in important matches, defending their identity and when one player is finishing that, I think it is also good for them to focus only on their team".

Ozil has started all but one of Unai Emery's Premier League matches and featured in a variety of different positions but what does the Spaniard believe is his player's best?

While their performances against West Ham and Cardiff were far from flawless, they nonetheless picked up six points and hauled themselves up to ninth in the Premier League.

Emery is determined to stick with this defensive line-up, so we can only hope that they start playing as a unit for once, but I'm not feeling very confident at all!

With six goals from their last two games it appears that Arsenal's attack has begun to function at something like full effectiveness, but having conceded three in return - very almost costing them two points against Cardiff - their defensive organisation still leaves much to be desired.

"We are continuing our process with our positive things and our work".

We will see what happens but I feel good.

"This is the moment to say to you that I have a good relationship with Mesut and I didn't say it to the groundsman not to water on the pitch, it's not true".

"In his career Mesut played like a 10 and on the right, coming inside with his quality", Emery went on. We will work, we will help him, give him the possibility on the pitch to be together, to find his qualities for us. He can improve, he can do more.

"Also I think he is working for the team to help us with his quality".

"Firstly we need to win and I think it is very important that in the last match we won", the Spanish manager told reporters on Thursday.

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis' future looks less certain, though, with AC Milan having re-opened negotiations with him.
