Mkhitaryan participation in question for Azerbaijan trip

Goal brings you everything you need to know about the Europa League group stage draw, including when and where it takes place, how to watch it live for free and more.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's availability for Arsenal's Europa League trip to Qarabag is in doubt due to tensions between his homeland of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

This is not the first time that Mkhitaryan has found himself in this situation, with the forward left out of Borussia Dortmund's squad to play Azerbaijani club Gabala in 2015.

Chelsea are back in the Europa League for the first time since they won the competition in 2013.

Arsenal coach Unai Emery however has now responded to the situation positively suggesting his side will reach out to authorities for a visa approval for the player and hope for a positive outcome.

They have been grouped with PAOK Salonika, Belarusian champions BATE Borisov and Hungarian title-winners Vidi.

Chelsea are also involved in the group stage after finishing 5th in the Premier League last season.

RB Leipzig's reward for Thursday's last-gasp victory over Zorya Luhansk is a Europa League group including sister club Salzburg. The club spent more than $200 million on players past year under new Chinese owners and failed to comply with UEFA rules monitoring transfer fees and wages.

Cross-city rivals Rangers have the toughest-looking draw of the British quartet.

LaLiga club Villarreal are the top seeds in the group, while Austrian side Rapid Vienna and Russia's Spartak Moscow came out of pots two and three respectively.

Steven Gerrard's men overcame Shkupi, Osijek and Maribor, before seeing off Ufa in the play-offs.
