Roseanne Barr Reveals How Her 'Conners' Character Will Be Killed Off

"My experience with African-Americans is they're the most forgiving people in the world", she said. However, she never wanted her character to die from it. "They have her die of an opioid overdose", she said.

Barr called the decision "cynical and terrible".

ABC has not yet come out and said how the previously eponymous Roseanne Conner leaves The Conners, but Roseanne is confirming what many suspected.

ABC announced the spinoff series in June, and said Barr would have no financial or creative involvement in the new series.

Appearing on the YouTube show Walk Away on Sunday, the actress - who was sacked from the show's prequel, Roseanne, earlier this year - said her namesake character will die, age 65, from an overdose. She should have died as a hero, or not at all...

This revelation comes just one day after Barr told fans how her character is going to be written off the upcoming show.

The Conners stars John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Michael Fishman, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara and Jayden Rey.

Barr later blamed it on her consumption of the sleeping drug Ambien.

"I think we have to turn it into a teaching moment", Jarrett said "I'm fine. I'm someone who is interested in healing my own soul". And that's what they chose to do, so there's nothing I can do about it.

Roseanne went on to praise the forgiveness she received while also making a somewhat ill-advised comment on America's history of slavery.

"The Conners" will premiere on Tuesday, October 16 at 8 p.m. on ABC. "It's done, it's over, there's no fight left", Barr added.
