We've Been Pronouncing Chrissy Teigen's Name Wrong This Whole Time

Fans had a lot to say about Chrissy Teigen's appearance at the Emmys...but she didn't let the haters get off that easy. "It's Tie-gen", she said in a video posted on Twitter. "I'm exhausted of living this lie", she said. Take Texas news reporter and producer Heidi Alagha, who unfortunately learned the hard way about celebrities clapping back on social media sites. The model went on to admit that she even corrects strangers who pronounce her last name the way it was intended.

Meanwhile, Grande published the true contrivance to reveal her name on Beats 1 Radio on August 17. "I don't correct people, ever". Imperfect advise? I'll eat it. Taxi going to the contaminated airport?

The next time you invite Chrissy Teigen and Ariana Grande to your backyard barbecue (John Legend and Pete Davidson are also invited, I guess), be sure to say their names right. "I'll change my flight".

"We get it, you won the EGOT!" she joked, to which he quickly replied, "I was actually talking about our anniversary".

Clearly, the mispronunciation has taken its toll on her. "My grandpa said "gran-dee, '" the 25-365 days-veteran outlined". "I grew up saying [Grandee]".

She then followed it up with: "man. you guys are brutal".

"Just call her Teigen; it's fine", Legend said.

The way we've been pronouncing Steve Buscemi's last name isn't all that different from the correct way to say it.
