Nana Patekar cancels press meet on Tanushree Dutta’s sexual harassment allegation

Patekar, who stands accused of sexually harassing actress Tanushree Dutta on the sets of the 2008 film Horn OK Pleassss, cancelled Monday's press conference scheduled to take place at his Andheri residence.

The panel has also sought an update of investigation into the police complaint filed by Tanushree Dutta. The Commission issued notices to the Bollywood actor along with choreographer Ganesh Acharya, producer Sameer Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang to submit their response within 10 days.

Amidst the ongoing Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar controversy, a video went viral on social media in which actor Akshay Kumar was seen allegedly speaking against the actress.

In a letter, Dutta said that she lodged her complaint for the registration of FIR under Sections 354, 354 (A), Section 34 and Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

However, on the forth day of the shoot, Patekar's behaviour was inappropriate as he was grabbing her by the arms and pushing her around on the pretext of teaching her some steps, the complaint said. Tanushree makes shocking statement on her participation in Salman Khan's Show. "I am claustrophobic anyway, I need to move around", she added. Nana Patekar who came back to the city from shooting a movie, he got by the media people and the only thing he stated was, "Main dus saal pehle de chuka hu iska jawab". Dutta also said that she received threats of a "violent attack" from activists of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena political party when she had protested the incident ten years ago.

Patekar's lawyer had sent a legal notice to Dutta demanding apology.
