Huawei set to reveal huge P20 Pro rival TODAY

Huawei set to reveal huge P20 Pro rival TODAY

The Mate 20 has a 6.53-inch 2240 x 1080 RGBW DCI-P3 HDR LCD display with a water-drop notch and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The phone has 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In Europe, the phone will launch on October 26th at 899 € ($1,346 CAD).

On Tuesday, Huawei will officially unveil at least two of its devices, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.

They include a new ultra-wide angle lens, as well as a telephoto lens and a macro that shoots objects as close as 2.5 centimeters (1 inch).

The Mate 20 Pro has an in-display fingerprint sensor and Huawei claims it is 30%. faster than that of the previous generation.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Huawei Mate 20 flaunts a 6.53-inch display, while the Mate 20 Pro flaunts a 6.39-inch display.

The Mate 20 Pro will be available in five colors - Classic Black, Twilight, Pink Gold, Midnight Blue, and Emerald Green.

However, unlike its predecessor, the Mate 20 Pro placed its modules in the centre of its rear glass panel.

Unlike the Apple and Samsung flagships, however, the Mate 20 has Leica-engineered triple cameras on the back and an in- display fingerprint sensor on the Pro model.

Finally, there will be a Porsche Design edition of the Mate 20, just like with the Mate 10 and the P20 (sold as the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS). But it still has a large 4,000mAh battery. Besides this, Mate 20 Pro is rumoured to have a 4200mAh battery, that will support SuperCharge 2.0 technology, and could be bundled with power inputs of up to 15W capacity.

The Chinese phone maker managed to surpass Apple to take the No. 2 spot in the second quarter, industry data shows, despite facing an effective ban in the USA market over whispered national security concerns.

The chip inside the new phone is no secret: the Kirin 980 has already been announced and is set to be the most powerful inside any Android phone.

"With the Mate 20, Huawei is setting the bar for what users can expect from photography using a smartphone", Cozza said.

Huawei is also targeting Samsungs Note flagships with the introduction of the M-Pen.

Then there's the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS, which slides in at the top of the range thanks to its starting price of €1,695 (roughly £1,485/$1,965/AU$2,750) for a model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, rising to €2,095 (around £1,835/$2,425/AU$3,400) for a version with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
