WWE Responds To Reported Dissent Amongst Talent Roster Over Crown Jewel

Several senators have come forward and urged WWE to scrap the Crown Jewel event - and its agreement with Saudi Arabia entirely - in the wake of Khashoggi's disappearance and alleged murder. "In fact, scratch any positive story about him and you will find a much grimmer truth underneath", Oliver said, noting how the Saudis ended its ban on women driving just weeks after it reportedly jailed a group of female activists who were campaigning for the right to drive. Actually, Impact Wrestling did it years before WWE.

In case you didn't know.

. Oliver starts by touching on Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was a critic of the Saudi Kingdom that disappeared after visiting Turkey this month.

On Thursday Trump expressed reluctance to to impose sanctions against Saudi Arabia because he said the country was spending $110 billion in the USA on weapons sales.

WWE held an initial meeting at 2:30pm on Friday last week and discussed their plan moving forward. However, they were looking for a way to minimize the complications and financial loss of breaching their contract with Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia's stringent laws against both women and the LGBT flies in the face of many performers in the company, not to mention the WWE's audience itself.

And the Deadman will return to his former stomping ground this week - SmackDown Live - for their 1,000th episode, and probably also to further his storyline with D-Generation X.

On top of that, WWE is teasing that The Brothers Of Destruction may appear to respond to DX's challenge for a tag team match at Crown Jewel and the website is pushing the continuation of Bobby Lashley's aggressive side. Leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
