Apple began taking pre-orders for the "budget" model iPhone

Apple began taking pre-orders for the

Apple's new A12 Bionic chip.

The iPhone XR will begin shipping on October 26th in more than 50 countries and territories, including the USA, and that's also when in-store sales will begin. And now, the Aitel online store has also started taking pre-orders.

Whilst pre-orders have opened, the iPhone XR is not expected to hit retail shelves until October 26.

The iPhone XR comes with IP67 certified device for water and dust resistance, whereas the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max comes with an IP68 certification, which is much superior compared to the IP67 rating.

A quick search on Craigslist or eBay shows that you can find a used iPhone X for around $750, the same price as a 64GB iPhone XR, not including tax. The latest TrueDepth camera system offers Portrait mode and Portrait Lighting for selfies, and also brings Face ID, the most secure facial authentication system ever in a smartphone, to iPhone XR. The 128GB version is priced at $799, while the 256GB version costs $899.

In the Telstra world, the iPhone XR starts at $84 per month for 3GB data monthly on a 64GB iPhone XR, with Telstra having you choose based on phone value, different the cost of phone repayments based on the plan option. It boasts a similar design to the iPhone XS but ups the screen size to 6.1-inches and swaps out the OLED panel for an LCD. The iPhone Xr is available in six stylish colors.

The iPhone XR also gets other improvements over the X like faster LTE and Dual SIM capabilities, again identical to iPhone XS.

The iPhone XR with 12MP rear camera and 7MP front sensor claims to have better lowa'light performance.

The iPhone XR is available in aircraft-grade aluminum in coral, black, blue, yellow, white, and PRODUCT (RED) with 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB capacities.

Even though the resolution on the iPhone XR is lower than that of the X, the screen is actually larger.
