Multiple people shot blocks away from Jacksonville Jaguars stadium

Five men and a woman were shot Sunday outside a laundromat in Jacksonville, authorities said. The suspect is on the run.

Six people were shot, with three of them in critical condition, in Jacksonville, US state of Florida, local police said Sunday. The incident is outside the stadium footprint and has not impact the Jaguar's game at this time, says the Sheriff's Office.

Six people were shot mere blocks away from where the Jacksonville Jaguars are playing against their AFC South rival, the Houston Texans, according to officials.

The six victims were adults, deputies reported.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. He said the vehicle left the area and authorities were checking surveillance video to try to locate it and find those involved.

The sheriff's office said it was escorting fans who'd parked near the shooting scene to their vehicles. Police believe there are at least two suspects still on the run.

"In talking to the sheriff's department; they are going to beef up patrols.We have a crime issue", Gaffney said. Those traveling northbound on A. Philip Randolph may choose to go westbound at Albert Street or to Union. The area around the shooting scene is blocked off.

The shooting happened outside the stadium footprint, according to JSO, and has not affected the Jaguars game.
