'Celtic can beat Leipzig at home', says Rodgers

"We have one or two issues but it's okay, we have a number of young players who have been training very hard and working hard to have the opportunity to play".

Celtic sit third in Group B, and trail RB Leipzig by three points, and also trail group leaders RB Salzburg by six.

"It's key coming into these games that we think about performing well".

"We're playing against one of the top teams in Germany but we still have to show our way of playing and when we do that we know we can cause problems".

Celtic host the German side next month in the second part of their double-header with a trip to bottom side Rosenborg to come before a game against Salzburg at Parkhead, where Rodgers believes they can claw back their hopes.

And despite his squad limitations, Rodgers is confident his side have enough to forge a result.

As the pilot slams on the breaks the Celtic fans then produce a sensational racket with most of the plane piling into a celebratory mood and as arms fly around from the seats the excitement for their Europa League clash with RB Leipzig reaches a crescendo.

Rodgers has been quick to downplay Arzani's lack of opportunities to date and most recently said he has been impressed with the teenager's progress.

Earlier this week, Compper said: "I'm fit and I train very well".

Celtic have been poor away from home in the group stages and beyond in European competitions in recent years but Rangnick, who will be without Emil Forsberg, Ibrahima Konate and Diego Demme, is expecting a tough tie.

Rodgers gave full details of who is in with a chance of playing and who is definitely out when he addressed the media ahead of the match.

"They don't play typically kick and rush of Scottish football".

Reports last week suggested the Australian could return to Manchester City by the end of the year should he fail to earn minutes with the first-team, a claim Celtic have strongly denied.

"It will have a fantastic atmosphere and like we always do we will try to impose our game and play as well as we can".

Rangers winger Daniel Candeias believes they are destined to win a trophy this season.
