OnePlus 6T with in-screen fingerprint sensor launched in India

OnePlus was founded in late 2013 and quickly grew in popularity over the years thanks to the OEM's dedication to high-end specifications, a near stock Android experience with meaningful extra features and little to no restrictions, all while being priced below most other flagships.

If you are a fan of trying out pre-release software, especially when it comes to Android releases from OnePlus, then the company has a brand new beta release for you.

Just a day after launching its new flagship, OnePlus is already making good on its promises.

The OnePlus 6T has been officially announced yesterday, with the phone being confirmed to be arriving in the U.S. With up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the 6T is up there with the big boys, and dual cameras offering 16 and 20MP will keep photographers happy.

The OnePlus 6T allows the Chinese phonemaker to stay up to date with the latest trends and at par with its rivals. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 128GB variant will be available for Rs 41,999 and the 8GB + 256GB version will retail at Rs 45,999. This the first time OnePlus has ditched the fingerprint sensor on a smartphone. To make the phone sturdier, OnePlus has provided Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The company also claims its implementation of in-display fingerprint scanner is now the fastest in the market. With this implementation, OnePlus claims that the design of the phone is aesthetically better and has been able to bring the sensor back to the front, which is perceived to be a better position for the sensor. Alongside Nightscape is the new upgraded portrait mode found on the OnePlus 6T which detect faces and simulate professional lighting. "As a comparison, the OnePlus 6 has a smaller 6.28" Full HD+ AMOLED display with a slightly shorter 19:9 aspect ratio. After the Apple iPhone XS (review) series and iPhone XR (review), Google Pixel 3 and 3XL (review), and Huawei's Mate 20 Pro, it is time for the OnePlus 6T. OnePlus 6T has a waterdrop-style notch, with a three-in-one ambient light sensor, distance, and RGB sensor, and front-facing camera.

OnePlus 6T will come with a bigger 3,700mAh battery inside backed by 20W fast charging.

This is the first smartphone from OnePlus that comes loaded in-screen fingerprint sensor.

However, charging remains the same, with OnePlus sticking to the Dash Charge standard that has been around since the OnePlus 3.

OnePlus 6T has added a new feature called Nightscape that brings together a slew of features such as Nightscape HDR, detail optimization, multi-frame stabilization and noise reduction to click improved low-light photographs.
