Chelsea's Maurizio Sarri on unbeaten record: 'I was lucky'

Chelsea manager Sarri has confirmed Hazard will feature in the game against Palace on Sunday but will only manage 40 or 45 minutes, meaning the Belgian is likely to be a second-half substitute. It's now 15 games unbeaten since the start of the season, and it's always helpful to maintain momentum in the cup competitions, especially when it keeps squad players fit and interested. Every moment was done only between the Europa League, League Cup and Premier League but in the future it will be different.

"We didn't use 26 players in Naples, but I have to look at the situation with this club".

Latest info reaching out of Queensland indicates further that Sarri has already held clear-the-air talks with Moses and told the star he is not in plans for the team, hence his absence on Wednesday.

Roy Hodgson did a good job in keeping Palace up last season after the debacle of Frank de Boer but did nothing to truly improve the club over the summer.

When I say defensive phase I am not talking about the defensive line, I am talking about all the team because it's very important for us to defend in the opponent's half and have the ball there. When I arrived here the gap was 30 points, so the first step is to try and cover the gap. A win or draw today will mean that Chelsea will be eleven games undefeated in the league.

Subs not used: Caballero, Loftus-Cheek, Zappacosta, Cahill. The midfielder has put together a string of impressive performances recently which saw him subsequently nominated for the Premier League player of the month award.

"But football is very much a pragmatic business and it's a big mistake to start wishing for things that you're never going to have or regretting things that were never going to be possible".

Few could have envisioned a better start under Sarri, whose players have nearly instantly adapted to his methods and expectations. It is not easy to play for Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus. And if you are not a solid team you can not have very important targets.

"But then when you return you have the same problem".

8 - Sarri's starting XI encountered problems in the first half but his management of Morata is clearly paying off, and his substitutes - it's always nice to be able to bring on the Premier League's best player this season, isn't it? - turned a hard game in exactly the way he wanted.
