Pete Davidson discusses Ariana Grande break-up on SNL

In a twitter exchange with fans, Grande discussed the inspiration behind the forthcoming project which she declared will be named, Thank U, Next.

The new track references a number of Ariana's former loves, including Pete and her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died in September from a suspected overdose.

Taking to SNL's Weekend Update on November 3, Pete Davidson had a sweet message for his ex Ariana Grande, who just released a song about their split, "Thank U, Next".

Grande and Davidson announced their breakup October 14 after a four-month engagement.

But she then decided to make her gratitude balloon into a culturally-relevant balloon when she posted another pic of it, this time making it say "Thank You! next".

The comedian had already somewhat invited attention to the issue in a promo spot for the Jonah Hill-led episode earlier in the week, when he popped the question to musical guest Maggie Rogers, saying, "You wanna get married?"

This was the first new episode since Davidson and Ariana Grande broke off their engagement, and the comic showed it in his mournful blue hair. "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh", she wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

Bergen requested "another Pete Davidson" cocktail from Kenan Thompson, going on to explaining the drink as, "All I know is it's got a lot going on, but it still gets the job done".

"But the truth is, it's nobody's business and sometimes things just don't work out. Now please, vote on Tuesday".
