No allegations of criminal activity in Florida election, law enforcement says

"They aim to disenfranchise law abiding Florida voters by producing ballots out of thin air until they have enough to win", Scott campaign manager Jackie Schutz Zeckman said in a press release Friday, accusing Nelson's campaign of "working on voter fraud". There are several races too close to call in Arizona, especially the Senate race between Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema and Republican candidate Martha McSally. "This morning we spoke with the Department of State and they indicated that at this time they had no allegations of fraud".

Florida law requires a recount if those results are within.5 percent or less of each other.

"We have watched Brenda Snipes and the Broward supervisor of elections demonstrate gross incompetence and potential corruption election cycle after election cycle", said Caldwell, who had declared victory Tuesday night. Those very votes may end up deciding who becomes the next governor of Florida, which explains why the woman supervising the election there has come under fire by Republicans.

Election Day was on Tuesday, but for races in a number of states, it's not over yet.

Days after the deadline for early voting and the closing of polls on Election Day, officials in those two counties continued to make sporadic announcements of new vote counts, but the process has been opaque.

Under state law, all 67 counties must finish their count on Saturday by noon. Elias said Friday that Scott's "tone and the tenor and behavior" reflects a campaign that doesn't believe it is winning as a recount nears.

GAETZ: That is a really appropriate question for Governor Rick Scott.

Both Scott and the National Republican Senatorial Committee filed suit against Broward County's top election official, Brenda Snipes, claiming that she had violated Florida's public record laws by not giving full counts of how many ballots had been cast and are yet to be counted. That year's recounts in Broward and other counties were halted by the US Supreme Court, and George W. Bush defeated Al Gore by 537 votes in Florida, giving him the edge in the electoral college and handing him the White House.

A lawyer for Democratic U.S. Sen. The ruling is in favor of Florida Gov. Rick Scott, a Republican who is running for the U.S. Senate seat against incumbent Sen. Earlier the president said "there could be" when asked by reporters whether he'd direct a federal intervention in the Florida race.

Elias says it's "not appropriate" for a governor to suggest he's going to use his powers to "interject his law enforcement authority to prevent the counting of ballots that have been legally cast". The same is true in 2 Florida elections, for Senate and governor. "It is sad and embarrassing that Bill Nelson would resort to these low tactics after the voters have clearly spoken".

Machine recounts must be completed by 3 p.m. on Thursday.

Scott began with a 57,000 vote lead in the Senate race.

He contends Snipes and Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Boucher have fabricated votes, and he wants state authorities to take over the counts.

AP on Tuesday called the election for Republican Ron DeSantis over Democrat Andrew Gillum. Gillum was 0.4% behind DeSantis on Friday morning, with 99.98% of the vote counted.

As Florida heads towards a machine recount for the Senate and gubernatorial races, prominent Republicans are alleging voter fraud by Democrats trying to create new votes for their candidates.
