Atletico Madrid in advanced talks to sign Alvaro Morata?

Infuriated by a perceived unjust refereeing decision, Higuain reacted angrily after the final whistle and had to be dragged away by his Milan teammates.

Piatek's future at Genoa has under the microscope over the last few days after it emerged that AC Milan want to sign him as a replacement for Chelsea-bound Gonzalo Higuain.

The 31-year-old Argentina striker played under Maurizio Sarri at Napoli and a reunion with the Chelsea boss could happen this month, with speculation mounting in Italy. "It would be not respectful for him, nor for AC Milan".

"It may seem like a joke, but honestly, it's true".

Pressed on the issue, Gattuso added: "I've got a burning inside me, we have 25 players, so let's not talk about this now".

Chelsea are set to sign Gonzalo Higuain and Leandro Paredes, while Alvaro Morata is expected to leave the Premier League club in the next 24 hours.

Last week a source told ESPN FC that Sarri was present at a meeting between Chelsea officials and Nicolas Higuain, brother and agent of Nicolas, in London to discuss a January move.

Deal will see the Blues handed an option to buy the striker outright for £32.5 million after six-months completion.

In November, in his first match against the Bianconeri since his loan move to Milan, Higuain missed a penalty and was sent off for arguing with the referee.

All parties will be hoping that Higuain can rediscover the form that led him to record the best scoring season of his career under Sarri, while his arrival also leaves the way clear for Morata to depart Stamford Bridge on loan this month.

For that, the Blues need to register the Argentine in their Premier League squad before the 12pm deadline on Friday but so far, there has been little indication to suggest that may occur.
