Mariah Carey suing ex-assistant over alleged $8M blackmail plot

Some of the clips were said to have been shown to Azarian's friends and the former assistant stated she'd put them up for sale if she were ever fired.

Carey's legal filings, which were obtained by TMZ Jan. 16, say Lianna Azarian made secret recordings of the singer and threatened to release them if her boss didn't pay up the huge sum.

The documents state that Azarian earned up to $327,000 a year but Carey gave her the pink slip in November 2017.

Immediately after, Mariah's rep revealed that another one of the employees that worked for her in 2015 to 2017 attempted to extort the singer by allegedly threatening to release embarrassing videos in exchange for $8 million!

The suit comes just after Carey's own lawsuit against Azarian was filed, with Carey claiming that her former assistant had allegedly filmed intimate videos of her and attempted to blackmail her with them.

Azarian is also claiming that Carey herself would commit, "acts of physical, emotional and psychological abuse" against her. Initially, it was Mariah who was suing Azarian after obtaining evidence that her intimate affairs were being secretly videotaped by the personal assistant.

The singer "reached a mutually agreed resolution of this matter" with Stella, The Blast reported quoting court documents.

"This new year welcomes Mariah's continued efforts to clean the trash from her life", the statement reads.

Lianna Shakhnazaryan has filed a legal case against the pop star and Stella Bulochnikov in Los Angeles.

Other undisclosed offenders were named by Azarian in her documentation. Carey's counsel also accused Azarian of "outright stealing" from the artist.
