Chris Brown arrested over alleged rape

U.S. singer Chris Brown has been released from custody in Paris over rape allegations - as he called his accuser a "lyin' b****".

The woman's name was not mentioned for legal reasons, but it was said she met the singer at a nightclub after which she followed him to his hotel room along with other women and three men.

"I want to make it perfectly clear, this is false", he wrote on Instagram.

He continued: "For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!"

In 2016, he was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon following a standoff with Los Angeles police, after a woman said he threatened her at his home.

Chris Brown has denied the allegations he raped a woman in Paris following his arrest earlier this week.

Brown was pictured in the French capital last week attending shows during men's fashion week. Reports have been claiming that the singer sexually assaulted the alleged victim during his trip to Paris and now, he is in the custody of the police there while the investigation goes on.

A lawyer for Brown has not responded to's request for comment on the Paris allegations.

The AP is reporting that Brown was detained by French police, alongside his bodyguard and another associate, after a woman filed an aggravated rape complaint against him.

"It's still too hard for me to explain in detail what he did to me, but it was brutal and violent".

Boosie Badazz is among those who are in disbelief that Chris Brown was accused of such a heinous crime.

Recording artist Chris Brown (L) and his attorney Mark Geragos appear in Los Angeles court in Los Angeles, California, on November 20, 2013. The singer pleaded guilty to felony assault in the case and completed probation in 2015. He was arrested for felony battery two months later, in July, for allegedly punching a photographer the year before.

"He was arrested with two others on Monday, January 21 and interviews and other inquiries are ongoing".
