Marcus Rashford ignored Ole Gunnar Solskjaer advice to fire Manchester United victor

I feel very good, but I think everyone is feeling good, the players that come from the bench help a lot.

Marcus Rashford's early goal was enough to secure all three points against the Foxes but it was not United's best display, as they were forced to defend in numbers for much of the second half.

However, the defensive resilience shown is yet another reason why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is getting ever closer to sealing the manager job on a permanent basis.

He is United's No 1 forward now and Romelu Lukaku won't get near the team.

The former United star believed that the Spaniard has done well since returning to the side, and is one reason why people are talking about Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

It will be down to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and the board to decide who replaces Jose Mourinho, but Herrera said Solskjaer had won over the dressing room. And now we have to continue like this.

The 29-year-old has been a central figure to United's recent success, partnering the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in midfield, but while he admits he is happy with his own form, Herrera says their strength lies in the squad.

The Belgian striker then discussed the changes in Pogba, a player who was close to leaving under Mourinho, but now looks like the leader of the Red Devils.

Part of the improvement comes from an attack which eases the pressure on its defence by driving opponents back, scoring goals to give them something to defend and counter attacking with intent.

"[Pogba] is happy. In training, he is told all the time: 'Paul, we see you happy!' And after he laughs".

"Eric Bailly was a nervous wreck away against Brighton earlier in the season and Victor Lindelof wasn't much better - but the pair looked like the superb former Italy defenders Fabio Cannavaro and Alessandro Nesta at their best against a very risky Leicester team".

Despite the fact Mourinho was a constant supporter of Lukaku and played him regularly, the Belgian clearly prefers the new regime, as do his teammates.
