Gonzalo Higuain: Maurizio Sarri will get best out of me at Chelsea

Gonzalo Higuain: Maurizio Sarri will get best out of me at Chelsea

And as Chelsea bid to hold off the challenge of Arsenal and Manchester United for Champions League qualification, Sarri feels Hazard and Higuain hold the key.

"Gonzalo is very suitable for my football, so the feeling is really fantastic but it is a football feeling".

"I couldn't say one player that reminds me of Marcus Rashford".

Higuain enjoyed the highest goalscoring return of his career during Sarri's tenure at Napoli, finding the back of the net on 36 occasions in 2015/16 Serie A season.

The 31-year-old also admitted that Blues' manager Maurizio Sarri is the right man to get the best out of him due to their success together at Napoli.

The Chelsea manager, on the other hand, heavily praised the 28-year-old Belgian forward and declared him as the best player of Europe last Friday.

When told that Higuain has described him as a father figure, Sarri joked: 'I hope I am the football father!

"If he already said that he has made his choice, I think that he will renew his contract with Chelsea". He then talked about the expectations on him and said, "I'm not at all selfish".

A testing spell at the San Siro has seen Higuain's suitability to the Premier League questioned, but the striker insists he does not have a point to prove to anyone.

"I'm not sure. Maybe they think I can, but I know myself and I don't think I can".

"Managers like Mourinho, Conte, now with Sarri want me to score 40, 50 goals a season but can I do that?"

Who do you think will come out on top this evening?

And Sarri's men travel to Manchester City this coming weekend.

"Usually we learn from Arrigo Sacchi", Sarri added. They speak the same language with the ball, and so I think Gonzalo will be very important for us for this.
