Feinstein Tells Off Kids Lobbying Her to Support Green New Deal

Young activist one: Senator, if this doesn't get turned around in 10 years you're looking at the faces of the people who are going to be living with the consequences.

In an Instagram Live video over the weekend, Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., welcomed supporters into her kitchen-and gave a "special hello to my haters"-while she made chili and poured herself a glass of white wine". "And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, 'Is it OK to still have children?'"

When Feinstein tries to conclude the meeting, a woman says the children "have decades of life that they hope to still have, and your leadership is so beautifully, beautifully possible", the senator replies, "That doesn't work with me, thank you".

Slams handouts. The president's daughter went head to head with the notion of simply giving people jobs instead of earning them.

The congresswoman went onto brag about proposing the Green New Deal.

But as well-meaning as she may be, critics have pointed out that "redistributing wealth" by raising the minimum wage for her junior congressional staffers will mean that senior employees will have to take salary cuts. Then, continuing to the attack Republicans, she called them "the cold-hearted monsters who have repeatedly attacked our health care".

Senator Dianne Feinstein unveiled a less ambitious alternative to the "Green New Deal" after she was caught on tape rejecting a push by children for her to support the sweeping climate change plan backed by progressive Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

California millionaire, war profiteer, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, age 85, again stuck her foot in her mouth with an appalling and insulting meeting with children who support the Green New Deal. She is clearly out of touch with her constituents and I for one will not forget this incident next election!

"That resolution will not pass the Senate, and you can take that back to whoever sent you here and tell them", Feinstein responded after the students insisted the legislation was badly needed. Feinstein repeatedly tells the children that there is "no way to pay" for the plan, and tells the children that she is supporting her own resolution.

In December, shortly after being elected to the House, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced that she would be paying her interns $15 hourly. She also distributes copies of her alternative environmental proposal and agrees to give a 16-year-old girl an internship in her office some day. "Yes, the Post is conservative and they may not always be fair to her, but it's a fair question, and it's one I believe that she should respond to in-kind and not just ignore press inquiries". Consequently, she may have trouble retaining or recruiting top tier candidates.

Feinstein issued a response late Friday, writing in a tweet she and the group had a "spirited discussion" and that she'd listened to the young children who lobbied in her office.
