Golden State Warriors' Jordan Bell suspended by team

Golden State Warriors' Jordan Bell suspended by team

Jordan Bell was suspended by the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday for conduct detrimental to the team, and now we have an understanding of what led to it. The Athletic earlier reported the reason for Bell's suspension.

According to Anthony Slater and Sam Amick The Athletic, it has to do with Bell allegedly charging purchases from his hotel room in Memphis to the card of assistant coach Mike Brown.

Brown was alerted to the charge and asked the staff at the hotel about it. He was suspended for tonight's game for conduct detrimental to the team.

The Warriors suspended Jordan Bell for one game after he reportedly charged items at the team hotel to assistant coach Mike Brown. The exact item or items and amount of the bill is unclear. There was concern, sources say, that this wasn't the first time Bell has pulled this manoeuver on some unknowing member of the organisation.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr did not want to get into specifics regarding the suspension prior to Wednesday's game. Beyond that, it's our business, nobody else's.

In his second season in the league, Bell is averaging three points per game with one assist and 2.7 rebounds in 12.8 minutes.

Following their matchup with Memphis, the two-time defending champions will take on the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Friday.
