Powerbeats Pro vs AirPods 2 Comparison: What’s the Difference

However, since the Powerbeats Pro are created to be used with all sorts of devices and not just Apple's, you can use any other assistant with them as well.

An evolution of the previous Powerbeats earphones, the Powerbeats Pro do away with the wire that connected the previous earbuds together, making these new earphones completely wireless.

According to a new report, Amazon plans to ship Alexa-powered wireless earbuds in late 2019 to take on Apple's AirPods. Apple is actually offering two versions of AirPods 2, one packaged with a regular case, for $159, and another with the same earbuds but a wireless charging case, for $199. On your iPhone, you can also check the battery status of the PowerBeats Pro in a similar interface.

The AirPods now sell for $159 with a charging case or $199 with a wireless charging case. As these apps are already popular, it shouldn't form a barrier for people opting to buy them over AirPods, but Amazon could offer another advantage when it comes to pricing.

Again, all of this connectivity is happening through Apple's new H1 chip.

Ironically, no iPhones have this capability yet but other top handsets from Huawei and Samsung can act like a charging pad, so you can juice up your AirPods on the go, meaning you'll likely never be caught with a dead battery.

That means they will fit into users' ears without clips just like AirPods and will work with a combination of voice control and physical gesture support. Unlike the AirPods, it has earhooks and it also gets some form of sweat and water resistance. Each earpiece has up to nine hours of listening time, with playback of up to 24 hours with the charging case. Always on beam-forming microphones let you say, "Siri, play the Alan Parsons Project on Apple Music", while you're running without touching anything. Certainly, my ears can't really spot any significant difference between the first- and second-generation buds, though AirPods 2 seem to get louder at the top end. However, it looks like Amazon is now getting ready to compete with Apple in the market of wireless headphones. Listeners have four colorways to choose from, black, ivory, moss, and navy.
