Country stars shine in Vegas at Academy of Country Music awards

The star of the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards was...

They're calling it country music's "biggest party of the year", and I'll just have to take their word for it. Here's everything you need to know!

Sharing her experience with celebrated artists, Chrissy Metz told ET, "It's super exciting to be with these incredible artists who I am a true fan of". If she could go back and do it again, she'd follow the same trajectory, choosing her artistry over people-pleasing. "A lot of the girls are, so I think they're being overlooked right now".

But Musgraves took home both the album of the year and female artist of the year awards.

In her first performance of the night, Lambert, dressed in a revealing, black jumpsuit, changed the words of her song "Little Red Wagon" from "I live in Oklahoma" to "I got the hell out of Oklahoma".

Musgraves' critically acclaimed "Golden Hour" won album of the year and best country album at the Grammys in February. Underwood, Maren Morris, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde and McEntire will sing onstage.

Metz was joined by country stars Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton and Maddie & Tae.

The 51-year-old is certainly no stranger to awards shows!

Jason Aldean kicked off the awards show with a fun performance featuring the hit-making duo Florida Georgia Line. Host Reba McEntire introduced Lambert, the most rewarded artist in ACM awards history, as "32-time ACM award victor, Miranda Lambert".

Another wrote: 'When @mirandalambert said "I got the hell out of Oklhama" with Blake in the room.
