Durant, Beverley tossed; Curry, Warriors take Game 1

Durant stood over him and when Beverly popped up to get in Durant's face, Ed Malloy sent both players to their respective locker rooms. "We had to delay our film session so we could watch the last couple of holes".

"Steph has played a lot of playoff games and he has come through so often. If you lose it's not the end of the world", Kerr said.

For his part, Clippers coach Doc Rivers was less than pleased with the officiating in the opener. Warriors star Stephen Curry, who probably could have been a pro golfer if he wasn't busy breaking 3-point records, was among the many athletes watching as Woods earned his fifth green jacket. Curry shot 8 for 12 from deep to pass Ray Allen (385) for career postseason 3s with 386, had a postseason career-high 15 rebounds, seven assists and the 31st 30-point postseason performance of his career.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors at times looked disinterested during the regular season, but they were ready to go right from the jump as they set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter, before holding off the Clippers with their defense in the second half.

In the win, Kevin Durant added an additional 23 points, four rebounds and three assists before getting ejected. On the court, it was Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell that made the difference, combining for 51 of the Clippers' 104.

The Warriors and Clippers will play Game 2 on Monday, April 15.
