Mauricio Sarri has stated that Chelsea's season has a favourable one.

Runners-up in the EFL Cup, Chelsea are still chasing a top-four finish in the Premier League and are in the Europa League semi-finals.

"But I am not sure that, in two seasons, we will be able to be better than them".

David de Gea had another day to forget as Manchester United's top-four push suffered a major blow following a 1-1 draw with rivals Chelsea at Old Trafford. Arsenal could yet have a say and you can't quite rule out some late drama in what has been a topsy-turvy battle from third down to sixth, but Sarri and Co look the more likely as we head into the penultimate round of league fixtures next weekend.

City extended their winning run to 12 straight Premier League games and now just need to win their final two at home to Leicester and away to Brighton to retain their title and stretch Liverpool's long wait to win the league to at least 30 years. It's been a very hard season. "Sometimes in the second part of the season, we lost the match in 10 minutes".

"David knows he could have done better with the goal, there's no reason to hide that, but there's no chance any of us will point fingers because he's saved us so many times". We need to become competitive for the top. "The first step, though, has been good".

Chelsea were held to a draw in their last game, while Manchester United were well beaten during the Manchester derby against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Maurizio Sarri said he needed time to fully implement his ideas and turn Chelsea into a contending team.

Serie A side Roma are understood to be interested in Sarri should he depart English football this summer.

"I don't have any worries about him because he's a strong character". But I think we are improving. I'm really very happy if a player wants to play, wants to react.

"Eden deserved to be in the top XI of the Premier League, but I also think the table is clear", he said. "I live for these matches". But under pressure, it can happen.

"You know when you are a goalkeeper or striker you are always in the spotlight", Solskjaer told a news conference.

"I think that the situation is finished, and I prefer that the situation is finished. I agree with the two clubs".
