So much on line for Raptors in Game 7 against Sixers

So much on line for Raptors in Game 7 against Sixers

On Sunday night, the 32-year-old Toronto rapper shared a video to his Instagram Stories celebrating Kawhi Leonard's winning shot, which led the Toronto Raptors to beat the Philadelphia 76ers and enter the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

The absurd shot from the baseline bounced on the rim four times before it dropped through the net.

The megastar scored 41 points on 16-of-37 shooting - including the game-winner on the buzzer that sent Scotiabank Arena into pure, thundering bliss - and helped his Raptors snuff out the Philadelphia 76ers, 92-90.

Toronto will fancy their chances at home to progress to the Conference Finals, where the Milwaukee Bucks await.

The 76ers are searching for their first trip to the conference finals since 2001, when Allen Iverson led them all the way to the NBA Finals.

The Raptors shot just 5-for-24 in the first quarter, including 0-for-8 from behind the arc, yet still managed to build a seven-point lead when Green poked the ball away from Embiid and finish with a dunk eight minutes into the game.

He said he didn't place a ceremonial bet on the Raptors with Philadelphia's mayor and may not do so against the team's next opponent in Milwaukee. You know and we just-we've got to play with great physicality and great speed, connected on the defensive end. I think moving forward, you try to hold on to as much of it as you can.

No, Leonard isn't quite on the same level as MJ, but the statistics he's been putting up through 12 games this postseason certainly merit a comparison. After Philadelphia extended the series with a win on their home court in Game 6, it was Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors coming up big on their home court in a Game 7 on Sunday night.

"I give Toronto credit for a tenacious, switching defense", 76ers coach Brett Brown said.

As for his colleagues, Embiid was battling illness, while Simmons is still overwhelmed by hesitancy with regards to picking his shots.

After the Game 7 loss in Toronto, Butler said he hadn't yet thought much about his free agency.

Embiid continued to defend Brown, putting the Game 7 loss on the players. Embiid averaged 27.5 points and 13.6 rebounds, while shooting over 48 percent from the field this season. So probably the last time you've seen me scream was when we won (the championship with the Spurs).

With little help from the rest of Toronto's roster, Leonard has had to lift the offense all by himself.

Plays like these below underscored just how lethal Kawhi was for the Raptors in this series.

Simmons was an unstoppable force in leading the 76ers to Thursday's game six 11-point demolition of the Raptors, but was a villain in the Raptors' 36-point thrashing of the 76ers in game five.
