This beast of a smartphone pairs the Snapdragon 855 with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ultra-fast UFS 3.0 internal storage.

You can capture 4K video at both 30fps and 60fps, and there are slow motion video modes too, but only down to 480fps at 720p resolution - but that's still 16x slow motion. It has a smaller 6.41-inch screen with a teardrop notch rather than a retractable selfie camera, a Full HD-grade panel and a dual rear camera.

The OnePlus 7 Pro has a 6.67-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

Pricing has yet to be confirmed, though there are speculations it could cost as much as $300 more than its previous phones £1000 mark for the 5G handset, the Oneplus7 Pro 5G might end up close to £1000.

In the United Kingdom, there will be three different OnePlus 7 Pro configurations available, with prices coming in at £649 for the 6GB/128GB model, £699 for the 8GB/256GB version, and then £799 for the top-end 12GB/256GB model. For those anxious about its durability OnePlus have tested it 300,000 times and it is capable of holding a 49lb weigh without breaking. The phone also has a feature where the camera automatically retracts when the accelerometer senses the phone is going to fall.

RAM Boost, a newly upgraded feature on the OnePlus 7 Pro, will learn from your usage habits and intelligently allocate available RAM to memory-intensive applications.

The software features are of course powered by Android 9.0 Pie and a new version of OxygenOS - version 9.5. This means that four sensor pixels (photosites) on the sensor are used to create one pixel in the final image - this means that although it has a 48-megapixel sensor, the OnePlus 7 Pro shoots 12-megapixel images as standard. In this mode, you only have access to the phone and camera app for 20 minutes.

"5G will provide a new era in connectivity on the move, giving customers the best mobile experience they've ever had, and opening up a whole new world of connected possibilities from AR to high definition video and gaming", said Marc Allera, CEO of BT's Consumer division - EE's parent company. At the beginning of the year, OnePlus announced its partnership with e-sports team Fnatic.

It doesn't get any better than this, OnePlus fans. So Android Q and Android Android R are guaranteed.

The OnePlus 7 pop-up event in the United Kingdom will take place in London on May 17 at John Lewis on Oxford Street.

US$669 (~AU$1015) while the middle of the range (8GB/256GB) will be available in Mirror Gray and Nebula Blue colours for US$699 (~AU$1060). The phone will ship with the 30W Warp Charger, a red USB Type-C cable, and a transparent TPU case.

At this stage it will be available in pop-up stores tomorrow in various locations in the US, UK, Europe and India.
