Microsoft E3 2019: Next-Gen Xbox Console Scarlett Confirmed After Teases

Microsoft have dropped a huge amount of details over the next generation of Xbox console hardware, reeling off a list of impressive sounding specs.

"As we continue the work of securing long-term financing for Starbreeze, it's extremely important that we find the best possible structure for the company in the long run".

Microsoft also revealed that, like the PlayStation 5, the console will utilise a solid state drive (SSD), which will mean faster loading times: a reduction in the time it takes for new scenes and levels to load during games.

The Xbox E3 2019 Briefing begins on Sunday, June 9th at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET, and although you can get free stuff by watching on Mixer, we've also embedded the stream at the top of the post. However, the eager beavers have opened up the pages, though the beta for the Xbox Game Pass PC is not quite live yet.

"This isn't just a console launch, this is about the future of gaming", said Xbox's Phil Spencer, announcing the next-generation console.

Microsoft is launching a new Xbox app for Windows 10 devices. Halo's new Halo Infinite title will be a launch title for the new console. With variable refresh rates, ray-tracing, frame rates up to 120 frames and a new SSD that has improved times over the current consoles by forty-fold.

Lots of details remain unclear: We didn't see what Scarlett looks like or find out how much it will cost, among many other things.
