Cardi B indicted in connection with wild strip club brawl

The women claim they had been injured during a fight in August 2018 when Cardi's people allegedly began throwing bottles and chairs after Cardi allegedly accused Jade of getting with her husband Offset.

The rapper has also rejected a plea deal which would've effectively spared her jail time in exchange for pleading guilty to a single misdemeanour. She skipped out on a court hearing over the alleged brawl back in December because of a "previously scheduled commitment" (she was filming a music video in Miami).

A source told the Post that the indictment includes a felony assault charge and several misdemeanor charges.

In October, Cardi surrendered to police and was subsequently arrested, fingerprinted, had a mugshot taken and was charged with one count of assault and two counts of reckless endangerment, PEOPLE confirmed at the time.

The saga of Cardi B's court case for a strip club brawl continues.

In related news, on Thursday night Cardi B was named Songwriter of the Year during ASCAP's 34th annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Beverly Hills.

Prosecution sources told the outlet last month they chose to take the case to the grand jury because of new information that was discovered during their investigation.

Sources told TMZ the incident was prompted by rumors that Jade had an affair with Cardi B's husband, Offset from Migos.

Born Belcalis Almanzar to a Dominican father and Trinidadian mother, Cardi B's meteoric rise to fame sparked during her days as a stripper, when she carved out a social media personality on platforms including Instagram.

She is now out of town for the BET Awards in Los Angeles.
