DeMarcus Cousins agrees to one-year deal with Lakers

In the 2019 postseason, he appeared in 17 of the Warriors 22 games and most notably knocked down three big triples in the Warriors Game 2 win over the Raptors in the NBA Finals.

Free agent Leonard penned a four-year deal with the Clippers after they traded for Oklahoma City Thunder superstar George. But Davis and other Lakers helped convince Cousins, who also battled a quad injury, to join them in Los Angeles instead.

Caldwell-Pope, McGee, Green, Cook and Cousins join a rebuilding Lakers team that has seen a lot of change since the season ended. The 25-year-old point guard will earn $5.5 million through 2020-21.

"Free agent guard Quinn Cook has reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers on a two-year, $6 million deal, league sources tell Yahoo Sports", Haynes reported Saturday morning. Untimely and unfortunate injuries have kept him from performing in the postseason.

Rajon Rondo has also agreed to a two-year contract with Los Angeles, joining fellow Wildcats Anthony Davis and Cousins.

In two seasons with Golden State, Cook became a locker room favorite and a great fit as a knock down shooter in head coach Steve Kerr's free-flowing offense.

He averaged 6.9 points and 2.1 rebounds and shot 40.5 percent from deep in 74 games with the Warriors in 2018-19.

His deal is reportedly worth $8.2 million over two years and has a player option.
