Amazon Prime Day 2019 Dates Announced

Customers can also engaging games, fly or walk through the Prime Day world.

Amazon created Prime Day in 2015 to leverage their brand to create their own holiday shopping event independent from Cyber Monday and Black Friday. This offer is available until July 16. We'll also try our best to let you know when sales are extended or if a certain product sells out.

At these zones, Amazon Prime members would be able to view products through VR instead of images. Prime Day is Amazon's flagship event exclusively for Prime members that offers new product launches, deals along with digital content. The company is pushing its "Deal Days" on July 15 and 16, offering 30 to 40 percent off items like furniture, appliances, toys and sporting goods.

Ebay is holding a sale to compete with Amazon's Prime Day, and it isn't being shy about the comparison. Amazon's annual premium membership comes with a one-month free trial; after that, it costs $119 a year (or $13 per month).

To get the best deals, yes, you'll definitely want to sign up for an Amazon Prime Membership. You can find the daily discounts on Ebay's Deals page. A small sampling follows-we didn't include the acquisitions that made big headlines, like when Amazon purchased Zappos, Audible, or Whole Foods. As always, some deals are already underway.

Next, you should probably download the free Amazon app to preview and shop deals directly on your phone, set an Alexa reminder for the beginning of the festivities, and tap "Watch this deal" on items you're interested in to get alerts when (and if) they're discounted. There are also insane price cuts on plenty of groceries at Whole Foods, including discounts on fruit, meat and, most importantly, pints of Ben & Jerry's and Talenti gelato, which gives us even more reason to get to Whole Foods and earn that $10 credit.
