"Stranger Things" isn't the only record-breaker this summer for the platform.

To coincide with the launch of Stranger Things 3, Netflix UK has recreated the series' ice cream parlour, Scoops Ahoy, as an Upside Down 1985-themed ice cream van and is taking it on tour - and will be stopping off at Dreamland in Margate on Saturday, July 13.

"18.2 million have already finished the entire season", the company revealed.

Netflix has announced that more fans have watched Stranger Things than any other Netflix movie or series since its release on July 4.

As far as premises go, The OA is arguably the closest series on this list to matching the WTF vibes of Stranger Things.

While there's been no official confirmation of a fourth season, it's nearly certain that Stranger Things will return, especially given the latest season's post-credits scene.

The Easter egg dare was one more in what's been a long line now of creative ways to get the word out about the new season of Netflix's hit supernatural franchise. Netflix's Twitter account posted.

Netflix viewing figures are not audited by any third parties.

The third season not only brought the Mind-Flayer back, they even amped up the human villains.

The Stranger Things cast has earned an ice-cream cone or 40 million.

Some commentators have speculated that it's part of the streamer's tactics to attract high-profile directors, actors and writers if it can show them how many people their work would reach.

The service also recently said more than 30 million accounts worldwide watched the Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler film Murder Mystery in its first three days of release, giving it the biggest opening weekend ever for a Netflix film.
