FC Barcelona offer two stars & R623 million for Paris Saint-Germain

However, following the player's refusal to return to club duty and his representatives telling PSG of his desire to leave, patience with the Brazil global is wearing thin.

Now while this seems a fair enough deal, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to recoup the €222 million he paid for Neymar which makes things all the more interesting.

Although PSG are still trying to convince the former Santos man to stay, Neymar has already made up his mind and has informed the club's board he wants to leave according to Skysports.

"He has important information about the future he wanted to discourage". Both have dealt with injuries that have seen them miss significant time.

Neymar and Leonardo have spoken multiple times over the telephone since the latter's return as sporting director earlier this month, and the player's father has also told the PSG exec that his son wants out, but ESPN FC sources say that Monday marked the first time that such a talk has happened face to face. And since we have not received an offer, we can not discuss anything.

"They said they want to buy him but that we are not selling". A move of this magnitude is not just a question of emotions. Ideally, they would like the entire €222m in cash, but they would certainly demand more than €40m upfront if they were to sell.

However, PSG did not even consider the offer. "It will not be done in a day, that's for sure".

Barcelona have yet to table a formal offer for Neymar, and after splashing a combined €200 million on Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong, it's likely the Catalan side would need to send a package of players in return to abide by Financial Fair Play regulations.
